For me, Christmas tree decorations must be something special, preferably decorations that become a fixed tradition on the tree. I have decorations that my grandmother and my mother gave me, and those decorations have been on my first Christmas tree from 1980 and will continue to be so for life. When my boys leave the nest and have their first Christmas tree in their own home, they will receive an item from their great-grandmother's and grandmother's Christmas tree, and of course a set of my Christmas tree pendants, and this is how it should continue for many generations to come. It gives a warm feeling inside when you look at the tree and think: There hangs grandmother's beautiful glass ball, and there are mother's homemade paper cones with curled handles. I want to pass this tradition on to other families with these small sweet and funny pendants. I must remember to mention that here in our home it is a tradition that the elf in the attic decorates our Christmas tree at night.
