For me, Christmas tree decorations can be a special thing, preferably decorations that become a fixed tradition on the tree. I have decorations that my grandmother and my mother have given me, and those decorations have been on my first Christmas tree from 1980 and will continue to be so until the end of life. When my boys leave the nest and get their first Christmas tree in their own home, they receive one item from their great-grandmother's and grandmother's Christmas tree, and of course a set of my Christmas tree ornaments, and that is how it should hopefully continue for many generations to come. It gives a warm feeling inside when you look at the tree and think: There hangs grandmother's beautiful glass ball, and there are mother's homemade paper cones with curled handles. I would like to pass this tradition on to other families with these small cute and funny ornaments. I must remember to mention that here in our home, it is a tradition that the elf in the attic decorates our Christmas tree at night.
