As a Danish designer for more than 35 years, she carries her childhood memories with her - from her mother's homemade Christmas decorations to the magical December evenings where the lights were lit one by one while the gnomes kept an eye on their cozy nooks.

"In my childhood my mother Sonja always made Christmas something very special," says Etly. "She decorated nicely and made homemade Christmas decorations with candles, spruce and nature's decorations. It was these moments that created the real Christmas magic." This love for Christmas traditions and especially the warmth of the lights permeates every single of Etlys designs.

"It is important to decorate and make sure the Christmas magic is allowed to live," shares Etly, "And nothing creates more Christmas mood than candles and the waking eyes of the gnomes in the shadows."
